(More customer reviews)I've only had this a day or two and so far it works fine and plays everything I've tried.Picture is fine, small speakers kind of suck but plug it into the tv and it works just as well as a regular dvd player.I haven't used it enough to give a full opinion on functions, etc., but I did want to raise a concern for all would-be purchasers.

You can only operate the player with the remote.Ok, that's not totally true, you can press the play and stop button, but that's about it.If your remote dies or you lose it, it seems you're out of luck.Maybe a universal remote would work, but come on, this thing is designed to sit in YOUR LAP.Who needs a remote for that?A menu button and a couple of arrow keys would have been nice.

So overall, it seems OK but if you loose that tiny little remote, you're kind of lost.BTW, I talked to tech support and they were kind of proud that the remote was necessary to use the unit and confirm that you can't operate it without the remote.
