(More customer reviews)I got this portable Coby DVD player (model TF-DVD7005) as free promotion.I'm not impressed.When it is working, it has decent picture and sound.But it seems to have real problems reading the DVDs.Sometimes it completely rejects the DVD with a message that says "Wrong Disc", other times it accepts the DVD but the playback is blocky.Sometimes it plays well for several minutes and then freezes up.It does much better with production DVDs than DVD-R/RW, so don't get it if you have a bunch of DVD-R's.And if you decide to buy it and it gives you problems with a DVD, power it down and restart it.Often that helps, but sometimes you have to do it 2 or 3 times.

And just to clarify a couple of things, the first time I had blocky playback was the first time I used it, right out of the box.And it was with a production DVD.And it was running off the power cord (in case you were wondering if it could be low battery.)And it was stationary, at home, not in a moving vehicle or anything like that.
